The community is invited to learn more about area businesses Thursday. Presented by the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce and title sponsor, the Forsyth County News, the 2013 Business Expo will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a “working lunch.” Speaker Mark McGraw will present information on how get the most out of your work day. Those interested in attending the lunch, which will be catered by Panera Bread, must pay $10. After 1 p.m., when the expo floor opens, the public can attend for free. Several area restaurants will bring in food samples beginning at 4 p.m. for Expo After Hours. That event will run through 6 p.m. and is also free to attend. Jason Mock, the chamber’s Small Business Services Center director, said the expo is always one of the organization’s most anticipated offerings of the year.“We had about 1,000 spectators come out [in 2012] and we’re anticipating about that many again this year,” he said. Participating businesses range from attorneys and medical offices to banks and pest control. Mock said all of the 63 booths that will be filled by businesses at the event sold out quickly.“We have a great number of different kinds of vendors that will be set up for the expo,” Mock said. “A little bit of everything will be out there.” According to Mock, Thursday will be a great day for the business community and community at large to come together.“I think our business community likes the Business Expo for many reasons,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity for businesses to showcase the product lines that they offer, the services that they offer, to our business community and the general public.“It should be a full day of fun activities.”
