Chase Tenety gave North Forsyth a dramatic win over Gilmer in the finals of the Eagles Duals on Tuesday at Etowah High School. Down 30-28 entering the final match, Tenety (106 pounds) pinned Gilmer’s Domingo Reynoso in 59 seconds to clinch the tournament title. It was the fourth win for Tenety in the tournament. The Raiders also got four wins from Justin Lioti (120), Jacob Nash (126), Julian Benton (132), Shane Cross (145), Tanner Buggs (160) and Austin Thornton (195). North defeated McEachern (78-0), Northwest Whitfield (60-24), Paulding County (66-18) and Allatoona (49-17) on the way to the finals to remain perfect on the season. The Raiders return to action tomorrow at defending Class AAAAAA champion Archer. Lambert sweeps: The Longhorns swept matches against Cambridge (42-28) and Oconee County (42-15) at home. Lambert improved to 7-1. Eric Diemert (106), Matthew Sheetz (113), Andrew Morin (126), JD Straight (152), Mark Werner (160), JT Salgado (170) and Logan Wood (195) each had two wins on the day.
