WRESTLING ROUNDUP: North wins Coal Mountain Classic

North Forsyth took home the championship in the Coal Mountain Classic on Saturday with four first-place finishes. Chase Tenety won at 106 pounds, Luke Slaton won at 132, Shane Cross won at 145 and Austin Thornton won at 195 for the Raiders. West Forsyth and Forsyth Central came in sixth and seventh place, respectively. Denver Stonecheck took home the 120 title for West. Hardaway Invitational: The Lambert High School wrestling team finished third in the Hardaway Invitational Tournament last weekend. Two Longhorn wresters, Eric Diemart and Matthew Sheetz, made it to the finals in their respective weight classes. Sheetz would go on to win the 113 pounds class, and Diemart would be the runner-up for the 106. Cambridge High School emerged as the victor of the tournament, earning 210.50 points. Prattville would finish second (200.50) with Lambert close behind (186.50).
