CUMMING -- Taste of Forsyth Along the Hospitality Highway returns Saturday. The fourth annual event will again be held in and around the Cumming Fairgrounds’ covered arena. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. and run through 6 p.m., with about 25 vendors scheduled to bring food samples from various styles and cuisines ranging from barbecue and Greek to Jamaican, pizza and sweets galore. Food samples will range in price from $1 to $4 in whole dollar amounts. Guests should plan on bringing cash, although some vendors may allow credit card use. Awards will be presented in several categories, including best presentation, appetizer, entrée, dessert and decorated tent. Besides food, the popular event will again offer three Easter egg hunts for children due to the festival’s timing so near the spring holiday. Children ages 3 and younger can take part at 11:30 a.m., while children 4 to 7 will enjoy a 12:30 p.m. start and hunt for ages 8 to 10 starts at 1:30 p.m. Families can also enjoy free photos with the Easter Bunny from 1 to 3 p.m., and various family-friendly activities throughout the day such as “touch-a-truck” and “kids’ zone” areas. Other entertainment will include music and the Atlanta Puppet Show. Parking and admission to the event are free and organizers are anticipating at least 15,000 people.
