GAINESVILLE — An Atlanta woman has been charged with boating under the influence in connection with a Sunday boating accident in Forsyth County that injured four people. Georgia Department of Natural Resources rangers charged Christina Jennings, 39, in the 9:35 p.m. incident in the Vann’s Tavern area of Lake Lanier. She was the driver of a 24-foot Ebb Tide power boat. Her passenger was Joseph Korosee, 40, of Alpharetta. Four people aboard a 29-foot Bayliner cabin cruiser, all of Cumming, were injured. They are Robert A. Romeo and Patricia Romeo, both 41; Sierra Romeo, 17; and Robert N. Romeo, 21. According to the DNR, Patricia and the younger Robert suffered cuts and bruising. The older Robert, who was the driver, suffered cuts to both legs, one of which was a deep laceration. And Sierra suffered a broken leg. DNR spokeswoman Melissa Cummings said she believed the injured were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Hospital officials said Monday they didn’t have record of them currently at the hospital. Neither Jennings nor Korosee were injured. Jennings was released earlier Monday from the Forsyth County Detention Center after posting a $2,750 bond.“The investigation is under way to determine the exact cause of the crash,” Cummings said. “Other charges are possible based on the outcome of the investigation.”
