CUMMING — Stars and Strikes will celebrate its ninth year in Cumming with a grand reopening celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The event will feature discounted games, such as $2 laser tag, bumper cars, shoe rentals and bowling on twilight lanes. There also will be food and beverage specials, including $2 hot dogs, baskets of fries and more. Guests can also enjoy giveaways, inflatables, face painting, team mascots and a silent auction benefiting the American Cancer Society. The event will also include a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate a new look. The 52,000-square-foot entertainment center recently upgraded its look with a brand new exterior, updated signage and a sleek new façade.“We have been honored to serve the Cumming area for the past nine years,” said Chris Albano, managing partner and co-founder of Stars and Strikes. “We know our guests will feel right at home in our newly-renovated space.” Since opening in summer 2005, Stars and Strikes has put nearly $1 million into improving the Cumming site. Previous updates have included improvements in the laser tag, bumper cars and arcade areas, as well as additions of boutique bowling lanes and a laser maze. In addition, the facility has donated more than $1 million in cash, merchandise, services and event space to local community organizations.
