PREP ROUNDUP: Staiti's triple-double leads West girls past Alpharetta

GIRLS BASKETBALL Forsyth Central 46, Cambridge 33 MILTON – Abbey Fagan had 17 points as the Lady Bulldogs stayed undefeated in Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B with a win Friday on the road. Julie Richards added 11 points for Central (7-10, 5-0). North Forsyth 53, Chattahoochee 36 Caroline Bowns had 21 points as the Lady Raiders bounced back from Tuesday’s loss to No. 5-ranked South Forsyth with a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday at home. Lochlain Corliss added 16 points for North (15-2, 9-1). Tattnall Square 57, Pinecrest Academy 43 MACON – The Lady Paladins lost a non-region game Friday on the road. Pinecrest dropped to 10-6 overall. West Forsyth 52, Alpharetta 20 Jenna Staiti had a triple double as the Lady Wolverines crushed the Lady Raiders in a Region 6-AAAAAA victory Friday at home. Staiti had 15 points, 11 rebounds and 11 blocks for West (13-3, 8-2). Carsen Parker had 12 points, Jane Ortlip scored 11 and Abby Quincy added 10. BOYS BASKETBALL Cambridge 60, Forsyth Central 53 MILTON – Braden Ragsdale had 14 points but it wasn’t enough as the Bulldogs dropped a Region 7-AAAAA, Div. B game Friday on the road. Central (5-12, 2-3) led 16-12 after the first quarter but trailed 21-20 at the half and never regained the lead. Tattnall Square 74, Pinecrest Academy 55 MACON – Tough first and third quarters doomed the Paladins in a non-region loss Friday on the road. Pinecrest (6-10, 2-3 Region 6-A, Div. B) was out-scored 18-9 and 21-11 in the first and third quarters, respectively. Alpharetta 76, West Forsyth 42 Jimmy Staiti’s double-double wasn’t enough as the Wolverines lost a Region 6-AAAAAA game Friday at home. Staiti had 16 points and 13 rebounds for West (7-9, 3-7), while Cam Macer added 10 points and four assists.
