Kliphouse went five innings and allowed five hits and just one earned run while striking out nine. Anthony Trovato pitched two scoreless innings of relief with four strikeouts. Brett Gracyzk led South (1-0) at the plate, going 1-for-3 with an RBI. Horbin Figueroa and Jordan McGriff each had a hit. Taylor Bauman led Central (0-1) with three hits and a run scored.
