A 22-year-old Dawsonville man has been indicted on several charges after he reportedly disrupted traffic last summer on Ga. 400.Luke Evans will face two counts of reckless conduct and one count each of first-degree burglary and criminal trespass, according to an indictment handed down last week by the Forsyth County Grand Jury.Evans was arrested Sept. 4 at the end of a two-hour manhunt that began after he crashed his truck and then attempted to enter vehicles stopped on Ga. 400 in north Forsyth.“His act of running in traffic on Georgia 400 causing drivers to swerve their vehicles [that could] cause harm to and endanger the safety of said persons and the disregard constituted a gross deviation from the standard of care which a reasonable person would exercise in the situation,” the indictment reads.It goes on to note that Evans also reportedly entered a home on Settingdown Road and damaged a screen door.Among the other indictments issued by the grand jury were the following:• Allen Michael Dyer, 19, was indicted with one count of second-degree burglary for entering Friendship Baptist Church with intent to commit a theft on June 27 or 28.The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest in July after witnesses named Dyer as a suspect in the burglary, but the Cumming man had fled the state.• Taryn Johnson, 35, was indicted on one count of identity fraud for using another woman’s name between May 14 and July 30, 20009.Johnson, a former Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office employee, has been charged with financial identity fraud and violation of oath by a public officer in connection with the incident.The 10-year veteran of the agency resigned following her arrest more than three years ago.• Abdul Delaney, 38, and Larry Westbrooks, 44, were indicted with one count each of theft by taking.The two men are accused of taking a freightliner truck, valued at more than $25,000, from a local company Nov. 18.
