Lambert’s girls tennis team is headed to the Region 6-AAAAAA finals. The No. 1-seed Lady Longhorns knocked off North Forsyth 3-0 with strong efforts from Karlee Bryde (6-0, 6-0) at No. 1 singles, No. 2 Madison Benefield (6-0, 6-1) and No. 3 Caroline Wakefield (6-0, 6-0) on Monday at Fowler Park, then picked up a 3-1 victory over Alpharetta in the semifinals later in the day. Wakefield dropped her first set, but fought back and won 3-6, 6-4, 6-1. Morgan Adams and Jessica Owens won No. 1 doubles 6-1, 6-1 before Lauren Townsend and Vanessa Schrils blanked their opponents 6-0, 6-4 in No. 2 doubles. North, South Forsyth and West Forsyth were all eliminated.
