New Creation at Horizon Christian When, where: Saturday, 7:30 p.m., at Bennett Park in Cumming. Records: New Creation is 0-4; Horizon is 1-3. Last meeting: New Creation won 37-6 in 2013. What to know: The Warriors are coming off a frustrating 7-0 loss at Unity Christian in which the only blemish on Horizon’s impressive defensive performance was a 63-yard touchdown pass on the first play of the second half to provide the game’s only score. "Our defense played lights out," Horizon head coach Charles Wiggins said after the game. "They were outstanding." Indeed, the unit helped overcome a sluggish performance by the Warriors’ offense. Through four games, Horizon has struggled to find the end zone but has moved the ball well. The Warriors average 170 rushing yards per game, led by running backs Travis Pittman (193 yards, 3 TDs) and James Kimbrough (189 yards, 2 TDs) and quarterback John Michael Booth (167 yards, 2 TDs). New Creation had its own frustrating game against Unity this season in a 28-24 loss, the fourth straight for the Crusaders who are off to an uncharacteristically rough start. Senior running back Shun Hannah has been a bright spot for New Creation, particularly in the loss to Unity when he rushed for 234 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries, threw a 22-yard touchdown pass and had nine tackles on defense and forced a fumble. Turnovers have been the biggest problem for New Creation. The Crusaders have lost six fumbles and throw five interceptions. Sophomore quarterback Will Dyar (19-for-36, 190 yards, 1 TD, 5 INT) runs the offense. His favorite target is senior wide receiver Hunter Hinson (15 rec., 139 yards, TD).
